先週タイ国内で COVID-19 によりおよそ3000人が入院し、約50％の増加がみられ、1日あたり少なくとも1例の関連死が発生した。情報センター Thailand's Public Relations Department's COVID-19 Information Centre によると、COVID-19 cases last week jumped by at least 900 on the previous week, with one fatality recorded each day とされている。6月10日、2日から8日の間に COVID-19 のため2762人が入院し、1日平均395人が入院したと報告されている。

The number increased by 48.3%, from 26 May to 1 Jun, in which 1863 hospitalised cases, or 266 cases a day, were recorded.

もっとも新しい変異株 Newest COVID variant が 25% of all cases を占めている。

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention が the latest variant of COVID-19 called KP.3.のデータが示された。the new variant between 26 May and 8 Jun 2024 の監視の結果、around 25% of COVID cases in the US were caused by KP.3. とわかった。The KP.3 variant は瞬く間に米国内でもっとも多い変異株となり、the JN.1 variant から首位の座を奪った。The JN.1 spread rapidly last winter, and still makes up 22.5% of cases -- second only to KP.3.

Abstract

COVID-19 では様々な症状 a wide range of clinical manifestations, from mild respiratory distress to severe multi-organ dysfunction を呈する。

今回、当初発熱、咳、頭痛、衰弱などの一般的な症状のあと、昏睡となり気管内挿管のうえ ICU 入院となった、合併症を伴う45歳女性の症例 a unique case of complex COVID-19 presentation in a 45-year-old female について報告する。脳 brain MRI は脳炎 encephalitis の所見に矛盾せず、その原因は詳細な検査でも今も明らかになっていない。ICU 入院中にこの患者は、心タンポナーデにより心腔穿刺が行われ、非定型的心電図変化 atypical electrocardiographic changes を示した。ステロイドによる治療により状態が改善し、抜管後病棟にうつされた。心臓 cardiac MRI で心臓下壁と心室中隔の繊維化 fibrous tissue in the inferior cardiac wall and the adjacent intraventricular septum が認められた。他の診断名が存在しない場合、中枢神経系 the central nervous system と心臓 cardiac involvement in patients with COVID-19 を考慮する必要性がある。

Overview

SARS-CoV-2 PCR percent positivity, as detected in integrated sentinel surveillance as part of the Global Influenza Surveillance and Response System (GISRS) and reported to FluNet was 6.3% from 80 countries during the week ending 26 May 2024 compared to 7.1% from 87 countries from the previous week.

KP.2 and KP.3, both descendent lineages of JN.1 and variants under monitoring (VUMs) continue to show increasing prevalence globally. They accounted for 22.7% and 22.4% of sequences in week 21 compared to 14.6% and 13.0% in week 18, respectively.

Globally, JN.1 is the most reported variant of interest (VOI) (now reported by 132 countries), accounting for 47.1% of sequences in week 21 and having declined from a prevalence of 56.0% in week 18.

the previous 28-day period (1 to 28 Apr 2024) との比較で、新たな感染例は during the past 28-day period of 29 Apr to 26 May 2024 の期間に約11％減少した。

WHO is currently tracking several SARS-CoV-2 variants, including:

• Variants of interest (VOIs): EG.5, BA.2.86 and JN.1

• Variants under monitoring (VUMs): JN.1.7, JN.1.18, KP.2 and KP.3

Globally, JN.1 is the most reported VOI (now reported by 132 countries), accounting for 47.1% of sequences in week 21 and having declined from a prevalence of 56.0% in week 18 .
