Tokat State Hospital において，5例のクリミア・コンゴ出血熱 Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) disease in Tokat が治療を受けている。身体に付いたダニを除去したあと体調を崩し，the Infectious Diseases Department of Tokat State Hospital に入院し CCHF と診断されたが，状態は良好とされている。

Between 1 Jan and 26 June 2024 の間に，身体にダニが付着した合計450人が the Infectious Diseases Department and emergency department of Tokat State Hospital を受診した。31人が CCHF の診断を受け治療後退院したが，4人は Sivas Cumhuriyet University に紹介され，5人は今も Tokat State Hospital で治療を受けている。

[Mod.LXL－興味深いこととして，2002年にトルコではじめて Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) virus が確認されたのも同じ Tokat, the same province で当時5例が確認された。Anatolia, a hot spot for CCHF に隣接する。

a good overview of CCHF in Turkiye as follows,

"The 1st case of CCHF in Türkiye が確認されたのは 2002年の Tokat province, in the Central Anatolian region of the country で，以後国内で1万例以上が確認され，致死率は5%となっている。69.4% of cases が central and eastern Anatolia, with rural areas で発生している。患者の多くがダニ刺咬または家畜との接触を報告し，ピークはダニの活動期に一致して5月から7月である。

"血清学的調査 Serosurveys in endemic regions of Türkiye では常在地域の高蔓延率 a significant prevalence of CCHFV-seropositive individuals が示されている; 抗 IgG seropositivity の比率が高いのは男性，農村部の居住，農業従事者，畜産関係者，ダニとの接触であった。

"ベクターダニの駆除が a 1st line of control for CCHF transmission である。（紹介記事では）Corum province のウシ飼育業者に駆虫薬 ectoparasitic drugs を配布するとされ，おそらくダニ駆虫薬 amitraz or another tickicide agent を混ぜた薬浴 an animal bath or dip ("back-pouring") に使用されると考えられるが，ヒツジやヤギも感染するため，駆虫すべき家畜はウシだけではない]

the Samkani district of the province において女性1名がクリミア・コンゴ出血熱により死亡したと，地域公衆衛生当局者 Khairullah Mansoor, head of public health for the Taliban in Paktia が14日報告した。この25歳女性は1週間前に感染していた。

Sulaymaniyah Governorate において出血熱患者が確認された the registration of a hemorrhagic fever case と地域保健当局 The Ministry of Health of the Kurdistan Regional Government が26日発表した。"Sulaymaniyah Health Department recorded a case of hemorrhagic fever," "the patient is a 33-year-old man who lives in the city of Sulaymaniyah and works in livestock farming（牧畜業）" と明らかにした。現在治療中で状態は安定していると説明されている。

2024年，4 cases of hemorrhagic fever in the Kurdistan Region during the current year [2024], including one death が報告されている。

獣医学病院 The Veterinary Hospital in Dhi Qar が27日，犠牲祭期間中に新たに5例の出血熱 new cases of hemorrhagic fever during the Eid al-Adha period が確認され，2024年初以降の合計患者数が23例となり，死者は4例であると明らかにした。

香港保健当局 Hong Kong health authorities は，患者1名のウイルス感染症が確認されたことを受け，公立病院内の C型肝炎感染伝播が疑われる事例 a suspected case of hepatitis C transmission in a public hospital について調査を行っている。ほか14人が現在検査中となっている。Princess Margaret Hospital は，4月から5月の間に52歳のC型肝炎キャリア患者 hepatitis C carrier と同じ病棟に入院中だった24歳男性の感染が確認されたと明らかにした。検査の結果，2人の関連が示されている。

"Genetic sequencing showed that both patients are infected with hepatitis C with identical genetic sequence" と27日病院広報担当者が述べた。疫学的関連性があり，院内感染が否定できないと述べた。香港の人口 Hong Kong's population のおよそ 0.3% に過去の C型肝炎感染既往が推定されている。この24歳の患者は，3月2日に頭部外傷治療のため Kwai Chung にある同院に入院し，4月11日に a high dependency unit of the neurosurgery department に転棟となり，4月中旬の C型肝炎検査では陰性だったが，6月15日に肝酵素が上昇したあと，検査結果が陽性となった。

Tick bites kill 16 in Chihuahua

夏季になると危険な細菌が増殖する。この数週間に16人のリケッチア rickettsia 感染による死亡が確認されたことを受け，Chihuahua, Mexicot の当局者が住民に対し注意を呼びかけた。死者の半数がテキサス州との州境 Juarez, across the border from El Paso, Texas で確認されている。医師によると，これらの死亡はダニ刺咬の結果である。ダニの刺咬に気づいた場合はなるべく早く医師の診察を受けるよう呼びかけられている。保健当局者 head of prevention at the Chihuahua State Health Department が今週の会議で "ペットの飼い主の責任として，ダニが確認されたイヌには，ワクチン浴から投薬まで from bathing to vaccines to medication あらゆる治療を受けさせてほしいと述べている。

リケッチア（感染症）のロッキー山紅斑熱 Rickettsia or RMSF の初期症状は頭痛，嘔気，胃痛などから始まることが多く，診断の手がかり The disease's giveaway は濃い色の皮疹 dark spots on the skin で，治療されないと臓器不全にいたることもあると説明されている。

2024年に Juarez でリケッチアに感染した10人中8人が死亡し，致死率は80%に及んでいる。

米国 The CDC によると，RMSF is endemic in the Mexican border states of Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila and Nuevo Leon. に常在する。抗生物質のドキシサイクリン the antibiotic doxycycline により治療されることが多い。The National Institutes of Health は，米国内で治療が行われない場合の致死率は a 20% to 30% mortality rate としている。

Quarantine for trichinosis introduced in 3 districts of Tomsk region

3つの地域 districts of the Tomsk region に，旋毛虫症に対する検疫 A quarantine for trichinellosis が実施されている。いずれの感染（の原因）もクマが保有していたと報告されている。

Trichinellosis はthe larvae of the nematode _Trichinella_ による寄生虫疾患 a parasitic disease で，加熱不十分な肉の摂取によりヒトに感染が及ぶ。症状として，消耗，筋肉痛，顔面や眼瞼の浮腫，胃腸の不調などが，摂取の1-2週間後に発生する。

Novel Influenza A Virus:

2例の新型インフルエンザAウイルスの感染例 Two human infections with a novel influenza A virus がペンシルベニア州保健当局 the Pennsylvania Department of Health から報告された。互いに濃厚接触者である，18歳以上のこの患者らはいずれも6月22日の週に医療機関を受診し influenza A(H1N2) variant (A(H1N2)v) viruses の感染が確認された。うち1人は入院したが，もう1人はしていない。患者らは発症前にブタを含む家畜の競りに参加していた。

Including these 2 reports there have been a total of 3 human infections with variant influenza A viruses reported in the USA in 2024.
