Cordoba の研究者らが、数十人の患者が新たな E型肝炎ウイルスを保有 carrying a mysterious new disease, rat hepatitis E virus (RHEV) していることを確認した。2018年に初めて香港 Hong Kong で確認されたこの疾患として、世界最大の集団発生 the largest series of cases described in the world of an ailment となった。
_Rocahepevirus byratti_ が原因であるこの感染症については、数多くの疑問が解決されないままとなっている。スペイン国内各地 Spanish cities にいるラットの約1/3がこの病原体を保有していることが知られているが、どのようにしてヒトに感染するかについて明らかになっていない。初期調査で国内で毎年100例以上の発生があると示唆されてはいるが、発生率 the current incidence rate はわかっていない。
これら不明の点があるものの、2 reassuring elements（安心材料）もあり、１つは、これから感染者数が増えるのではなく、むしろこれまで原因不明とされていた肝炎の多くの原因が明らかになることである。２つめは、同ウイルスの影響と感染経路の解明が、これを足がかりに感染者数減少対策につながることである。

the Central Highlands Province of Dak Lak において、今年はじめての日本脳炎 The 1st case of Japanese encephalitis が確認されたと、the provincial Center for Disease Control が発表した。4月18日に高熱と疲労感を発症したこの患者は、同20日に M'Drak District Medical Center を受診し治療を受けたが、3日間の治療後も状態は悪化し、Central Highlands General Hospital に搬送され、さらに Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City に転院した。
検査の結果、日本脳炎 positive for the Japanese encephalitis virus が確認された。

問題の商品は outlets specializing in organic products, in grocery stores, at local markets or directly from the producer, mainly in the west of France from 7 Oct 2023 forward で販売されていた。
All batches of JP Cloteau brand buckwheat flour（そば粉）1-kilogram, 2.5-kilogram, 5-kilogram or 25-kilogram with best before dates between October 2024 and March 2025 が回収対象となっている。
チョウセンアサガオ Datura は野外に生育する植物で、自然界において高レベルの atropine and scopolamine などのアルカロイド tropane alkaloids が含まれていることがある。穀物中に混じり、急性中毒の原因となるおそれがある。
症状として、口渇、散瞳、視力障害、混乱、幻覚、頻拍、支離滅裂の言動、バランス障害などの症状がおきることがある。摂取から比較的早く、数分から数時間で症状が現れ、24から48時間継続することがある。
cereals and cereal products に関し、適切な処理 good agricultural and harvesting practices が行われれば、アルカロイドを含む種子 seeds of species containing tropane alkaloids, such as _Datura stramonium_の混入を最小限に防ぐことができる minimize contamination of the crop。このような種子は、sorting and cleaning によりシリアル certain cereals から除去可能である。
ただし、sorghum, millet, maize, and buckwheat からの除去は容易ではない。

この植物にはアルカロイド a tropane alkaloid (a belladonna alkaloid) が含まれており、atropine and scopolamine と同じアルカロイドで、0.45% to 2.0% が含まれている。すべてのヒト及びしばしば動物にこの植物による被害が発生している。
毒性の度合い The range of toxicity of _Datura stramonium_ は高度に不定で予測不能である。嚥下、吸引、体表の特に粘膜からの吸収 ingested, smoked and absorbed topically, in particular through mucous membranes により発症する。葉、植物、季節ごとに毒性が異なることもある。最も高濃度のトキシンが含まれるのは種子 the seeds approximating 0.1 mg of atropine per seed or 3-6 mg / 50-100 seeds である。
最も多くみられる臨床症状は、体温低下 sub-normal temperatures、散瞳、安静困難、筋れん縮、けいれん、頻拍、協調運動障害、麻痺で、呼吸筋麻痺により死亡するおそれがある。
治療法として通常、胃でのトキシン吸収を減少させる活性炭 activated charcoal と、トキシンの作用を阻害する physostigmine が使用される。一部の症例では、胃内容吸引 gastric emptying が必要となることがある]

Situation of rural anthrax ("carbuncle") in Argentina, 2023
Summary
1. Assessment area of rural carbuncle in the province of Buenos Aires (1977-2023): During this year [2023], there were NO outbreaks of carbuncle（炭疽の発生はなかった）; 43 samples were assessed from 22 districts of this area, and all of them turned out to be negative.
After 46 years of assessment, it is necessary to remember some outstanding periods due to the number of outbreaks: 1987-1991 with an average of 19 outbreaks per year, and 2002-2007 with the same number of outbreaks....
The good results were observed in the 5-year period from 2017 to 2021, going down to an average of one outbreak per year.
