Doctor warns of enterovirus epidemic, urges vaccination
27年前のシーズン中に78人の幼児が死亡したエンテロウイルス enterovirus 71 について、いつアウトブレイクが起きるか分からない an enterovirus epidemic could break out "anytime" と、医師が懸念している。
1998年の台湾でのアウトブレイク時に405 severe cases and 78 deaths, mostly children under the age of 5（ほとんどが5歳未満）が発生した。
その後も小児の免疫がなくなる3－4年ごとに流行 an enterovirus 71 epidemic が発生していた。an outbreak between 2019 and 2020 が起きると予想されていたが COVID-19 prevention measures によりエンテロウイルス流行の傾向 enterovirus epidemic trends in Taiwan に変化があった。more than 100 strains of enteroviruses があり、感染したヒトだけが抗体を持つ。2012年以降、台湾では大規模流行 the large-scale spread of enterovirus 71 は起きておらず、ハイリスクである5歳未満の乳幼児は抗体を持っていない。
2種類の enterovirus 71 ワクチンが医薬品当局 Taiwan's Food and Drug Administration の承認を得ており、the company websites によると、The Enimmune vaccine は a protection rate of 99.21 percent, and the Medigen vaccine a rate of 96.8 percent のご観戦防御効果を有するとされている。現在は、自費接種である。

Hải Dương City 市における水痘クラスターrecorded a cluster of chickenpox cases 発生の報告が、保健当局 The provincial Center for Disease Control に伝えられた。アウトブレイクが発生したのは、小学校の15例 class 2D of Gia Xuyen Primary School with 15 cases で、初発例は 23 Feb [2025] に確認された。3月1日以降、新たな感染は報告されていない。13例はワクチンを接種していなかった。

1955年に the Caribbean で初めて確認されて以来、オロプーシェウイルス Oropouche virus (OROV) は南北アメリカ各国 across various countries in the Region of the Americas から報告されている。
the Journal of Travel Medicine on March 2, 2025 によると、OROV は従来からブラジルのアマゾン盆地 the Brazilian Amazon Basin に限定的に発生していたが、デングなどの他のウイルス感染症 dengue, another mosquito-transmitted virus と間違われていた。
ところが2022年後半以降、OROV cases が Bolivia, Ecuador, Guyana, Colombia, Cuba, Panama, and Peru からも報告されるようになり、加えてフロリダ州保健当局 Florida's Health Department も、2024年にキューバへの旅行者の感染例 over 100 OROV cases in international visitors primarily traveling from Cuba in 2024 を報告している。
遺伝学的解析 genomic analyses from recent cases により、generating 133 whole-genome sequences covering the virus's 3 genomic segments (L, M, and S) が確認され、この中には the first genomes from regions outside the Amazon and the first recorded fatal cases も含まれている。
系統発生学的解析 Phylogenetic analyses では、the 2024 OROV genomes form a monophyletic group with sequences が示された。21回の再集合イベント reassortment events が判明したが、環境への適応や公衆衛生上の意義は明らかではない。
オロプーシェウイルスは精液中でも検出され、妊婦から胎児へ感染が疑われる症例も発生している。
3月4日の時点でワクチンはない no Oropouche vaccines are available 。

More than 100 pig carcasses, believed to have been brought in from a neighbouring state, have been found dumped on private property in what was supposed to be the Pig Farming Area in Port Dickson, according to Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.
On 25 Feb [2025], Selangor DVS reported that 1868 pigs from 2 farms in Selangor were disposed of to control and prevent the spread of African swine fever (ASF、アフリカ豚熱).

Miaoli County's Taian Township で死亡して発見されたアナグマ A dead ferret-badger が3日、狂犬病検査で陽性 positive for rabies と確認されたと、the Ministry of Agriculture's Veterinary Research Institute が明らかにした。同地域 the township では3例目 the third rabies case 、the 12th in the county since 2023 となる。狂犬病感染例はこれまで、山岳地帯の野生動物 wild animals living in mountainous areas に限られていた。
Four rabies cases have been found in Zhuolan Township, 3 in Taian Township, 1 in Nanzhuang Township, 3 in Dahu Township, and 1 in Sanyi Township. All cases are still limited to wild ferret-badgers.
