フグを食べた Kampong Chhnang province の5人が重症食中毒 severe food poisoning となり、6日救急室を受診した。保健省 The Ministry of Health の報告によると、中毒を発症したが治療により回復しつつある。blowfish は一部が死亡するおそれのある毒を有しているため摂取しないようアドバイスされている。
フグ毒 a puffer fish's poison は加熱や冷凍で失活せず、国内には 9 types of puffer fish found in Cambodian waters があり、うち5種類が致死性とされている。
ある家族 a family member in the province's Dambok Korkoh village, Phnom Kraing Dey Meas commune, Rolea B'ier district が、市場で 1.5 kg [3.3 lb] of puffer fish from an unidentified seller を購入し、10 other family members on 4 Jul 2024 の食事として摂取された。食べてすぐに口、腕、足のしびれ numbness を感じた。
連絡した the Svay Chrum Commune Health Centre の医師は、レモンを入れたお湯を飲むよう指示したが症状は治まらず、the health center を受診し、the provincial referral hospital に搬送された。患者の年齢は、57歳、56歳、36歳、34歳、14歳だった。

Deomali in Tirap district において7月1日に日本脳炎 A Japanese Encephalitis (JE) case が確認された。学校の生徒 A class IX student of St George School が頭痛と全身倦怠を感じ、当初は薬局の薬で治療していたが状態が悪化し、a hospital in Sonari, Assam and subsequently to Dibrugarh for further investigation の病院を受診した。検査により日本脳炎と確定診断された。さらに状態が悪化したため私立病院の集中治療室に転院した。

5月に Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) Canada and Alberta Environment の研究者らにより、コウモリ little brown bats in 2 sites along the Red Deer River の組織検体中で同疾患が確認された。
