Soil bacterium outbreak in Australia: 14 die
クイーンズランド州 Australia's Queensland において、土壌中の細菌によるアウトブレイク an outbreak triggered by a soil-dwelling bacterium によりこれまでに14人が死亡した。抗生物質に抵抗性のまれな病気である類鼻疽 melioidosis による死亡で、豪雨や洪水のあとに現れる土壌中の細菌が原因となる。過去にも発生していたが、州保健当局者 the state's Tropical Public Health Services director は、2025年は "absolutely is a record-breaking year. Certainly we haven't seen anything like this" と取材に答えて述べた。Queensland, in northeastern Australia では今月、嵐のあとの洪水が発生している。

小児病院 Covenant Children's Hospital in Lubbock didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. CDC confirmed this is the first measles death in the country since 2015.
rural West Texas の麻疹アウトブレイクは 124 cases across 9 counties に達しており、Texas' largest in nearly 30 years とされている。

この女性患者は San Nicolás, a resident of the 7 de Septiembre neighborhood 在住で、the San Felipe hospital に急送され、検査の結果が判明し直ちに入院となった。現在治療中であるが、出血熱から回復した患者からの血漿が a valuable resource to aid in her recovery である。
病院によると、a 2nd AHF case が入院しているが、血液製剤の要否は明らかにされていない。

ウイルスの宿主 The hosts of Junin virus であるげっ歯類 rodents, particularly _Mus musculus_, _Calomys_ spp., and _Akodon azarae_.がいるところであればどこでも感染のリスクがある。the GIDEON database, によれば、ワクチンで予防可能なこの疾患のほとんどの症例が Cordoba, Buenos Aires, and Santa Fe provinces で発生しており、ピークは1964 with over 3000 cases, with 120 cases in each of 1993 and 1994 である。
