オーストラリアおよびシンガポールにおいて，検出される（抗ウイルス薬）oseltamivir and zanamivir の感受性が低下した新型インフルエンザの変異ウイルス a novel influenza A(H1N1)2009 variant が増加しており，ノイラミニダーゼの変異 a S247N neuraminidase mutation による。
Summary
2011年初の数か月間に，薬剤感受性が低下したウイルス A novel influenza A(H1N1)2009 variant with mildly reduced oseltamivir and zanamivir sensitivity が，シンガポールの市中検体の10%以上，オーストラリア北部では30%以上で確認されている。他のアジア大洋州 other regions of the Asia-Pacific でも確認されているこの変異株は，ノイラミニダーゼ変異 a S247N neuraminidase mutation を含んでいる。オセルタミビルで治療された患者にみられる the H275Y mutation と併存すると，the dual S247N+H275Y mutant had extremely high oseltamivir resistance.

Since 2004, the EuFMD Commission, based in FAO, with the financial support of the EC, has provided supplies of FMD vaccines to the Trans Caucasus countries (TCC: Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia) for re-enforcement of the vaccination programmes operated by the National Veterinary Services in the populations at high risk, predominantly in the border regions with Turkey and Iran. No FMD outbreaks have been reported by Armenia since 2001.
