19 EU nations plus Iceland and Norway でヒトから分離された菌の解析により，カンピロバクター _Campylobacter jejuni_ -- the commonest _Campylobacter_ species identified -- のうち，57.7% がシプロキサシン ciprofloxacin に，45.4% がテトラサイクリン tetracyclines に対して耐性を示した。エリスロマイシン erythromycin に対する耐性率は低かった low (2%)。キプロス，ポルトガル，スペイン，リトアニア，エストニアでは，シプロキサシン耐性が from 80% to 96.5% に及んでおり，2013年から2017年にかけて耐性率が増加していた。_Campylobacter coli_-- the 2nd commonest _Campylobacter_ species -- は，シプロキサシン耐性 (63.5%) またはテトラサイクリン耐性 (68.3%) の割合がやや高く，エリスロマイシンにも耐性化 (12.8%) が見られた。シプロキサシン耐性率を報告した国は 13カ国で，between 70.5% and 100% とされている。ciprofloxacin and erythromycin の双方に耐性であることは治療困難を意味するが，全体的にその割合は低かった(10.2%)が，ポルトガル，スペイン，マルタ，フィンランドは high levels of combined resistance を報告している ... ブタでも耐性菌が認められている。
