英国内 in the United Kingdom で 500人以上が，豚肉食品 pork scratching products によるサルモネラアウトブレイク a _Salmonella_ outbreak に罹患した。10月下旬の時点で 534人が感染し，大部分が 6月以降に発病している。初めての患者は 2020年9月に確認され，ピーク時には 1週間あたり 80例が報告された。1ダースの感jが入院したとされるが，情報が得られているのは 35人のみである。患者の多くがイングランド England だが，一部は Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland の住民である。全遺伝子解析により，the genetically similar _Salmonella [enterica_ serotype] Infantis cases であることが確認されており，欧州でこれまでに報告された同型のサルモネラ菌感染症アウトブレイクとして最大 the largest outbreak of this _Salmonella_ type と考えられる。2021年8月下旬に the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and Food Standards Scotland は，several pork scratching products purchased since February 2021 を摂取しないよう注意を呼びかけている。同局からこれまでに 179人の罹患が報告されている。
