ギニア保健省 the Ministry of Health は，南部でラッサ熱感染例 a case of Lassa hemorrhagic fever が確認されたと発表した。ラッサ熱の感染が確認されたのは，流行の発生のある the prefecture of Guéckédou (south) の the sub-prefecture of Kassadou から来た 17歳の女性患者で，Guéckédou, in the Nzérékoré region の医療施設で治療を受けており，"her condition is currently satisfactory" と述べられている。20日に a laboratory in Guéckédou でウイルス感染が確認され，the reference laboratory in Conakry の 2次検査で確定された。

2022年4月23日，保健大臣 the Minister of Public Health, Hygiene, and Prevention から，新たなエボラ感染例 a new case of Ebola virus disease (EVD) が Mbandaka health zone in Equateur Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) で確認されたと発表された。Equateur Province ではこれまで，2018年と2020年に EVD outbreaks が発生している。Boende in Tshuapa Province の 31歳の男子学生で，2月25日に Mbandaka, Equateur に戻っていた。2020年にエボラワクチンを接種しており，an EVD survivor との情報はない。4月5日に発熱と頭痛の症状を発症し，自宅療養していた。4月16日に Bongisa Libota Health Center in Mbandaka に入院となり，3日後の 同 19日に the Wangata General Reference Hospital in Mbandaka に移送された。同 21日に出血熱の症状が現れ，a suspected EVD patient として the Wangata Ebola treatment center に隔離されたが同日死亡した。the Mbandaka provincial laboratory における血液およびぬぐい検体の検査で，21日にエボラウイルス陽性との結果が得られた。2件の検体は the Institut National Recherche Biomedicale (INRB) in Kinshasa に送られ，GeneXpert により Ebola virus と確定診断された。
