2021年11月，１施設の病院内で血液感染により 3人の患者が死亡した，同一の緑膿菌による感染症アウトブレイク a clonal outbreak of _Pseudomonas aeruginosa_ of novel sequence type ST3875 が確認された。2022年4月25日までに，the outbreak により，ノルウェー全国の 38病院の 339 cases が発生した。初回報告では，緑膿菌感染が 7例の死亡の原因と記載されている。3月，アウトブレイク菌 the outbreak strain が，患者の清拭に使用されていた，未殺菌のウェットタイプの使い捨てナプキン non-sterile pre-moistened disposable washcloths から検出され，同じ国内メーカーの 3つのロットのものだった。

The analyses confirmed the positivity for genotype 2 as reported, the same strain currently circulating in Europe.
