2週間のあいだに，デンマーク国内で 8人がリステリア菌 _Listeria_ に感染し，3人が死亡した。The Statens Serum Institut, Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (Fødevarestyrelsen), and DTU [National] Food Institute 各機関が感染源の調査に当たっている。
Between 13 and 29 May 2022 の間に，男性 5人と女性 3人が同じ型のリステリア菌 the same type of _Listeria_ に感染した。患者の年齢は 33歳から93歳で，いずれも感染に対し脆弱となる持病や免疫の問題を有していた。2人が髄膜炎 meningitis, 5人が敗血症 sepsis を発症し，1人は妊婦で，1人に脳膿瘍があった。7人が the Hovedstaden region of the country の患者だった。全遺伝子塩基配列解析により，the sequence type (ST) 37 であると確認されている ... 5月のリステリア菌感染例は 15例であるが，デンマーク国内での月平均は 4例程度である。2021年，デンマーク政府当局は，from 2018 through 2021 に 9人が感染した an outbreak of _Listeria_ の調査を行った。すべて入院したが死亡した患者はいなかった。感染源は特定されなかった。今回のアウトブレイク（の菌）とは別の遺伝子型だった。
