2021年同時期に比べ，2022年8月末の時点において，より多くのダニ媒介性疾患の患者が確認されていることが，国立衛生研究所 the State Health Institute (SZÚ) からの情報で明らかになった。2022年，441 cases of tick-borne encephalitis（ダニ媒介性脳炎）and 2035 cases of Lyme disease（ライム病）が報告されている。2021年は，ライム病は約 1/4 少なく，脳炎は 13% 少なかった。毎年，約 1/3 の患者は秋に感染する。ダニは，昼夜の気温が 5℃以下に下がるまで活動する。地球温暖化の影響で，チェコ共和国内では 11月までダニの発生があり，また以前より標高の高い地域で確認されている。2020年は 8月末の時点で 589例のダニ脳炎が報告され，2013年以来の数字となった。同時期のライム病に感染した患者は合計 2429人だった。the 1st year of the COVID-19 pandemic において，他の感染症の患者数が減少する中で，ダニ媒介性疾患は逆の傾向が見られ，専門家は人々が自然の中で過ごすことを選んだと述べている ...

[Mod.TY－ 2022年6月2日の報告では，今年はダニ脳炎ウイルスとライム病 Lyme borreliosis infections の深刻なリスクがあるとされていたが，感染者数は報告されていなかった。上記報告で，441 cases of TBE and 2035 cases of Lyme disease so far this year (2022) と報告された。いずれの病原体もダニ infected _ixodes_ ticks の刺咬によりヒトに感染し，チェコにおいて endemic となっている。20160210.4009410 においても述べられているが，中東欧諸国は endemic for the European subtype of TBE virus で毎年感染例が発生しているが，オーストリアは著しく症例数が減少し，ドイツ，ポーランド，スロヴァキアは少数を維持する一方，チェコ共和国は高いままである。The World Health Organization は，毎年約 1万- 1万2千例のダニ脳炎患者が報告されているが，実際の数字よりかなり少ないと考えられるとしている。
"ダニ脳炎に対して最も有効な防御を与えるのは予防接種である。現在，品質が保証され広く使用されている 4種類のワクチンがある: FSME-Immun and Encepur, manufactured in Austria and Germany, respectively [and based on European strains of the virus], and TBE-Moscow and EnceVir, manufactured in the Russian Federation [and based on Far Eastern strains]。 (WHO)
TBE は，3種類のウイルス TBE virus subtypes belonging to the Flaviviridae family: Central European, Siberian, and Far Eastern (formerly known as Russian spring-summer encephalitis) のいずれかによる感染症である]
[Mod.ML－ ライムボレリア症 Lyme borreliosis (Lyme disease or LD) は，北半球で最も多く見られるヒトのダニ媒介性疾患で，主に北米，欧州およびアジアの温帯地域で確認されている。
20種類以上ある _Borrelia burgdorferi_ sensu lato (Bbsl) complex genospecies の中で，ヒトに病原性があるのは少数 only a few (for example, _B. afzelii_, _B. garinii_, and _B. burgdorferi_ sensu stricto): _B. burgdorferi_ sensu stricto (Bbss) は北米の LD の主な原因であり; Bbss は欧州でも確認されているが，_B. garinii_ or _B. afzelii_, the 2 major European pathogenic genospecies より数は少ない。The vectors of Bbsl のベクターは，ヒトおよび保有宿主のいずれからも吸血する 4種類のダニ species of hard-bodied _Ixodes_ ticks である: _I. scapularis_ is the main vector of Bbsl for humans in the eastern half of the US（米国東部）; _I. pacificus_, in the far-western US（米国西端）; _I. ricinus_, in Europe（欧州）; and _I. persulcatus_, in Asia（アジア）。
中欧地域 (オーストリア，チェコ，ドイツ南部，スイス，スロヴァキア，スロベニア）において，ダニ_I. ricinus_ ticks のボレリア感染率が最も高い the highest _Borrelia_ infection ことが報告されている; スイスでは 13.6 to 49% of ticks の感染が確認されている。オーストリア／スイス地域において，感染陽性ダニのうち，25% が _B. afzelii_ の感染であったほか，44% with _B. garinii_, and 25% with Bbss だった。幼虫 nymphs (10.1%) に比べ，成虫 adult ticks (18.6%) の感染率が高かった。
LD の臨床症状も地域により異なっている。たとえば，欧州では acrodermatitis chronica atrophicans and neuroborreliosis（慢性萎縮性肢端皮膚炎と神経ボレリア症）がより一般的である，一方，米国では関節炎 arthritis が多く見られる。Lyme neuroborreliosis では，中枢および／または末梢神経の病変による様々な症状が認められる multifaceted; LD では，髄膜炎 meningitis, 脳神経炎 cranial neuritis, 根神経炎 radiculoneuritis, 末梢性ニューロパチー peripheral neuropathy, and/or 脳症 encephalopathy が見られることもある。1匹のダニ Individual hard-bodied ixodes ticks が複数のボレリア more than one genospecies of the Bbsl complex に感染することがあり，さらに他の病原体，たとえばアナプラズマ _Anaplasma phagocytophilum_, バベシア _Babesia microti_, _Borrelia miyamotoi_, tick-borne encephalitis virus or TBEV, the cause of tickborne encephalitis (TBE) にも感染している場合がある。従って，2種類以上のダニ媒介性疾患に同時に感染することもある。]
