ハルキウ研究センター The Kharkiv Regional Laboratory Center で，the 2nd case of botulism in 2022 が確認された。Kharkiv (Kharkov) 在住の男性で，dried fish (blue bream, carp family) を摂取していた。前日に小売り店で購入し，摂取した翌日に筋力低下，激しい頭痛，嘔吐，視野障害の症状を発症した。市立二次病院 the second city clinical hospital に入院し，抗ボツリヌス血清が注射された。

E型肝炎の症例 a case of human infection of rat hepatitis E virus (HEV) について香港保健当局 Hong Kong health officials が 9月30日に報告した。患者は基礎疾患のある 26歳男性で，Grantham Hospital 病院での治療中に肝機能障害を発症していた。げっ歯類との接触，海外渡航は確認されていない。可能性のある感染経路として，げっ歯類の排泄物で汚染された食品や水の摂取，または排泄物との直接的な接触が考えられている。

フロリダ州保健当局 Florida state health officials から，37例のビブリオ菌感染症 _Vibrio vulnificus_ cases through 30 Sep 2022 が報告されており，3週間前の報告から 4例増加した。
The cases are distributed as follows: Bay (3), Brevard (2), Broward (2), Charlotte (1), Citrus (2), Collier (2), Dade (2), Duval (1), Escambia (5), Flagler (1), Hernando (1), Highlands (1), Indian River (1), Jackson (1), Lee (2), Leon (1), Madison (1), Manatee (1), Okaloosa (2), Pinellas (1), Santa Rosa (3), and Seminole (1) counties.
Concerning fatalities, the 7 deaths were reported in Bay (1), Broward (1), Citrus (2), Escambia (1), Highlands (1), and Seminole (1). The state saw 34 total _V. vulnificus_ cases and 10 deaths in 2021.
