小反芻獣疫（Peste des petits，PPR）は，2016年8月に国内で初めて発生が報告された。中国国境をまたぐ動物の移動をコントロールすることはできず，西部 western Mongolia (ホブド県，Khovd region) で several outbreaks が確認された。from 10 to 30 Oct 2016 に地域内の大規模なワクチン接種キャンペーンが行われ，5 different provinces の 460万頭以上のヒツジ，580万頭のヤギに接種が行われた結果，this initial outbreak は終息したと考えられた。しかし，2016-2017年に感染感受性のある野生動物で PPRV 感染が再興し，レイヨウ saiga antelopes (_Saiga tatarica mongolica_), アイベックス Siberian ibex (_Capra sibirica_), Argali (_Ovis ammon_) and ガゼル goitered gazelles (_Gazella subgutturosa_) の死亡につながった ... 原文参照願います。
