発生の概要
9月20日の発生宣言以降11月21日現在までに、ウガンダ共和国保健省からスーダン型エボラウイルス（以下、「SUDV」）によるエボラウイルス病の確定患者141人、確定死者55人（CFR39％）が報告され、発生当初から推定患者22例（全例死亡）が報告されている。7名の死亡を含む19例は、医療従事者（HCW）であった。
週次の確定症例報告数は、10月17日～23日の週にピークを迎えた後、3週連続で減少している（図1）。11月7日の週には、カンパラ Kampala から80km離れたウガンダ東部に位置するジンジャ Jinja という今まで感染報告のなかった地区から確定患者1名と推定死亡例1例、その他地域からの患者を含めて合計5名の確定患者と1名の推定患者が報告された。最新の確定症例は、11月14日にカンパラ地区からウガンダ保健省によって報告された。全体では男性患者の割合が57.5％と高く、年齢層は20-29歳が最も多く、次いで30-39歳となっている（図2）。また、10歳未満の小児が約25％を占めており、家庭内感染の可能性が示唆されている。
11月10日のWHOのDONでの報告以降、新たにジンジャ県における感染が報告され、合計9地区でスーダン型エボラウイルス病の症例が確認されたことになる。最も感染者が多いのはムベンデ Mubende 県で、全体の45％にあたる64人の感染者と死者全体の53％にあたる29人の死亡が確認され、次いでカサンダ Kassanda 県で34％にあたる48人の感染者と36％にあたる20人の死亡が確認されている。

11月7日以降、毎日のアラート数はWHOに定期的に報告されていないが、検証されたアラート数は報告されている。11月14日の週には、１日平均159件となる少なくとも953件のアラートが確認され、そのうち35％にあたる335件は疑い例と定義されるものに合致していた。
