クリミアコンゴ出血熱のフォローアップ報告 a follow-up on the Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) situation in Afghanistan this year [2023] の中で、2023年8月5日までの累計806 cumulative cases and 86 deaths (10.67% CFR) 報告された。関連死亡 The CCHF-associated deaths は14 provinces から報告され, with 2/3 of cases reported from 2 provinces; Kabul (43, 50.0%) and Balkh (13, 15.1%).
Out of the total cases, 805 (99.9%) were above 5 years of age and 245 (30.4%) were females.

Abstract
新たなフレボウイルス A new phlebovirus variant が、ペルーの急性発熱患者 an acute febrile patient in Chanchamayo, Peru から分離された。遺伝学的特徴など Genome characterization and p-distance analyses based on complete open reading frames から、the Echarate virus と未知のフレボウイルスとの再集合 a natural reassortant of the Echarate virus (large and small segments) with a yet-unidentified phlebovirus (M segment) と考えられる。
