Iloilo province において呼吸器伝染病により乳児1名が死亡したほか1名の感染が発生している。地域保健当局者 chief of the Iloilo Provincial Health Office (IPHO) が 2例の百日咳患者 cases of pertussis or whooping cough in Iloilo について明らかにした。
死亡した1例目の患者は Balasan town の1ヶ月の男児で、COVID-19 検査も陽性となり、敗血症を発症していた。
2例目は the municipality of Santa の生後21日目の新生児である。
百日咳 pertussis は、細菌の the _Bordetella_ bacteria を原因とする、感染力の強い呼吸器の病気である。
生後6週、10週、14週に提供される無料のワクチンを接種するよう、保護者らに呼びかけられている。

郡公立学校関係者 Broward County Public Schools officials が，小学校の新たな 3例の麻疹 additional measles cases at an elementary school in Weston を確認した。Manatee Bay Elementary School の感染例は 4例となった。
[Mod.LL－ the 1st case が新たな3例の麻疹感染例の the source of the 3 newer cases 感染源ではないことは明らかである。なぜなら麻疹の曝露から前駆症状を発症するまでの潜伏期間は平均10-12日間，発疹が出現するまでの潜伏期間 the incubation period of rubeola は14日間 (range 7-21) であり，麻疹の感染性のある infectious 期間は，発疹が出現する4日前から4日後までの期間だからである。
4人はいずれもワクチンを接種しておらず，およそ2週間前に曝露したとみられる。同じ学校に通う生徒であるが，お誕生日会など，学校外でのイベントで暴露した可能性がある。
従ってこれら4人を感染させた the index case の接触者である他の生徒がさらに発症する可能性がある。ただちにワクチン接種A rapidly instituted vaccination program を実施すべきである。
麻疹は良性疾患ではない Measles is not a benign illness。
"患者の一部は，肺炎や脳炎などの重篤な合併症を発症し，入院が必要となり死亡する場合もある。
- 入院: ワクチン未接種の米国の患者の5人に1人が入院する。
- 肺炎: 麻疹感染の小児の20人に1人が肺炎を発症し，麻疹による幼小児の第1の死因となっている。
- 脳炎: 麻疹感染例のおよそ1000例に1例が脳炎を発症し，けいれんをおこし，小児では聴力の損失や知的障害を遺す。 leave the child deaf or with intellectual disability.
- 死亡: 麻疹に感染した小児1000例のうち，約１ないし3例が呼吸または神経系の合併症により死亡する。
- 妊娠中の合併症: ワクチン the MMR vaccine を接種していない妊婦は，早産もしくは低出生体重児を出産するおそれがある" (CDC)]

North Dakota Health Department warns of possible exposure to hepatitis A at Grand Forks restaurant
大学（の食堂） the University of North Dakota Memorial Union Chick-Fil-A between 15 Jan 2024 and 7 Feb 2024 で食事を摂った人々に，A型肝炎 hepatitis A に曝露したおそれがあると，ノースダコタ州保健当局 The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services が述べている。レストラン従業員1名の A型肝炎が確認された。
発症までの期間は15日から50日間とされ，発熱，易疲労感，食欲低下，嘔気，腹部の不快感，褐色尿，白色便 pale stools，皮膚や眼の黄疸などの症状が現れる。ワクチン接種歴がなく，曝露の可能性のある人は，健康管理者に相談すること。また無料のワクチン接種クリニックが提供されている。
