パキスタンで新たなポリオ A new case of polio が報告され国内の感染例が 5例 in 2024 となった。
最新の症例は Quetta, Balochistan の2歳児で，野生株1型ポリオウイルス wild poliovirus type 1 (WPV1) 検査が陽性となった。
The National Institute of Health in Islamabad において，2024年の国内 the 5th polio case と確認された。パキスタンではこれまでに，One case was from Sindh, whereas the 3 cases reported were from Balochistan が報告されていた。.
昨年 [2023] は6例 polio cases, with 4 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 2 from Karachi が確認されている。
