28日の24時間に新たに2名のデング熱 dengue による死者が報告され、2024年の死者数が55例となった。この間に272例が入院となったと、the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) が明らかにした。
Last year [2023], 1705 people lost their lives due to dengue, making it the deadliest year on record. The DGHS recorded 321 179 dengue cases and 318 749 recoveries last year.

インド西部 India's western state of Gujarat の保健当局が27日、suspected infection of Chandipura virus ウイルス感染によるとみられる死者が48例となったことを明らかにした。この数週間に感染例の増加が続いている。
"これまでの1ヶ月間に48人が、急性脳炎症候群 acute encephalitis syndrome in Gujarat over the last month により死亡し、その多くが the outbreak of Chandipura virus によるとみられる" と保健当局者が述べた。保健当局の責任者 Gujarat's health minister が州内で133例 cases of Chandipura virus が確認されていると述べた。

Citrus yellow vein clearing virus (_Potexvirus_, CYVCV, EPPO Alert list) is first reported from the Republic of Korea. A total of 118 leaf samples from 9 regions of 6 provinces were collected from various citrus species in 2020 and 2021. CYVCV was identified using next-generation sequencing and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) in 11 samples.
CYVCV was detected in 6 host plants: Eureka lemon (_Citrus x limon_), calamansi (_x Citrofortunella microcarpa_), kumquat (_Fortunella japonica_), Persian lime (_Citrus x latifolia_), pummelo (_Citrus maxima_), and mandarin (_Citrus reticulata x sinensis_), often in a mixed infection. This is the first report of calamansi and kumquat as hosts of CYVCV. Eureka lemon and Persian lime exhibited yellow vein clearing, leaf distortion, and water-soak lesions on the underside of the leaves, while the other hosts showed only yellowing symptoms on the leaves.

The NPPO [National Plant Protection Organisation] of Belgium から最近、EPPO に対し、国内で初めての the first outbreak of tomato ringspot virus (ToRSV - EPPO A2 List) について報告し、A few interceptions of potted plants infested with ToRSV had been recorded in Belgium at the end of 2023, but those were not considered outbreaks.
ToRSV was detected in January 2024 in samples of 3 _Malus domestica_ trees during official testing before exportation.
