1人は12月27日に発症した2歳男児で、2024年は累計18例となった。
2例目は2025年1月8日に発症した15歳の少年で、今年初の症例である。
The CHP report didn't say how the patients were exposed to the virus, though H9N2 infections are sporadically reported in people who have contact with poultry. H9N2 is known to circulate in poultry across parts of Asia, including China.
Illnesses in people are often mild and reported in children.

10 new cases of measles reported in West Texas county and New Mexico

People may have frozen this product for later use; freezing does not destroy the _Clostridium botulinum_.
The product was produced at the Tokyo Central Costa Mesa store in Costa Mesa, California.

It's called pythiosis. It's a rare fungal infection caused by the aquatic mold _Pythium insidiosum_. It can affect the skin or gastrointestinal tract of dogs, causing sores, weight loss, vomiting, and diarrhea.
So far, ABC7 has learned in the last month alone that there have been at least 5 cases of pythiosis in Sarasota and Manatee counties. Four of those cases were fatal.
