Woman bitten by rabid dog in Dak Lak found in Dong Nai
7日、女性1名 a woman in Dong Nai province が狂犬病のイヌ a rabid dog in Dak Lak による咬傷を受け、ワクチンを接種した。休憩のためにオートバイを停めていた時に、チェーンを付けたイヌによる咬傷を受けた。その後このイヌは発症し死亡した。獣医師に相談し、検査の結果このイヌの狂犬病感染が確認された。飼い主は防犯カメラに記録されたバイクのナンバーをSNSに投稿し、女性にワクチンを接種するよう呼びかけたところ、ただちに情報が伝えられた。

Health Authorities Combatting 692% Surge in Cartagena Dengue Fever Cases

Ho Chi Minh City orders masks in medical facilities to prevent flu
世界的な季節性インフルエンザアウトブレイク seasonal flu outbreaks が発生する中，北部 some northern provinces of Vietnam においても2月に感染の増加がみられると，ホーチミン市保健当局 The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health が明らかにした。
2024年，市内の約2900例の感染 clinically diagnosed influenza cases が確認され，11例の重症例が発生したが死亡例はなかった。
Currently, the city has 20 cases of influenza being treated as hospitalized patients and no abnormalities have been detected.

新潟市の５０代女性、常温保管した要冷蔵食品を食べ全身に麻痺症状…ボツリヌス菌による食中毒
新潟市は１０日、５０歳代女性がボツリヌス菌 botulinum toxin による食中毒を発症したと発表した。女性は全身に麻痺症状があり、人工呼吸器を装着しているという。発表によると、女性は昨年１１月頃、市内の食料品店で容器に入った要冷蔵食品を購入し、常温保管していた。１月２０日の正午頃に口にした際、ブルーチーズのような臭いや味がしたという。
女性は翌日の２１日午前１時頃から、目がチカチカしたり、口が渇いたりといった症状を自覚し、同日午前５時頃に医療機関を受診。症状が悪化し、同日午前１１時頃に別の医療機関へ救急搬送された。国立感染症研究所で血清や便を検査した結果、２月５日に食中毒と判断された。
同市は、真空パックなどの密封された食品でも常温で放置するとボツリヌス菌が増殖する可能性があるとして、食品の適切な保存を呼びかけている

回収対象は some canned tuna sold in dozens of states and Washington, DC, under the Genova, Van Camp's, H-E-B and Trader Joe's brand names とされている。
"イージーオープン缶の一部商品 The 'easy open' pull can lid on limited products の製造過程の問題で、ボツリヌス菌 _Clostridium botulinum_ による汚染のおそれがある" として、Tri-Union Seafoods stated in the recall posted Monday [10 Feb 2025] by the FDA が提出された。
The impacted products were distributed to retail stores as follows, according to the FDA's notice:

Nevada reports H5N1 in dairy worker; USDA fleshes out D1.1 sequencing from affected herds

Health Officials Investigate Porcini Mushroom Poisoning in Hong Kong

梅毒 syphilis cases の感染例は 13% from 2022 and has doubled since 2014 with the highest rates seen in men aged 25 to 34 and 72% of cases reported in MSM とされている。
クラミジアの感染増加 chlamydia infections は 3% in 2023 after reaching record high notification rates in 2022, but is still up 13% since 2014 となっている。
検査数増加も一因であるが、less condom use and higher numbers of sexual partners も要因となっている。
また薬剤耐性淋菌の発生 the continued emergence of drug-resistant strains of gonorrhea も報告されており、第一選択薬のセフトリアキソン the first-line antibiotic ceftriaxone 耐性はまれ rare であるが、解析を行った分離株の 25.2% of isolates analyzed by the European Gonococcal Antimicrobial Surveillance Program in 2022 が、セフトリアキソンと併用されるアジスロマイシンに耐性 resistant to azithromycin だった。加えてドイツとオーストリアで one multidrug-resistant and one extensively drug-resistant gonorrhea isolate が確認されている。
