Tularemia, "a public health problem"
州北部 the north of the province of Ávila で，げっ歯類との接触により病原体に感染した患者が発生している。The vole plague は，作物だけでなく，ヒトの健康にも影響を与えている。野兎病感染例 cases of tularemia が入院する結果となっている。
野兎病は，野生のげっ歯類 wild rodents (voles) に感染する細菌感染症で，感染した動物からヒトに感染が伝播される。原因菌は野兎病菌 the bacterium _Francisella tularensis_ で，through animal exposure ingestion or inhalation of infected vegetation or soil を介して感染し，農業従事者の感染例が最も多い。

サマーナイト大花火観覧の桜島フェリーで食中毒、10人が下痢や腹痛訴え 鹿児島市の惣菜店に4日間の営業停止処分
鹿児島市は５日、８月のサマーナイト大花火大会を観覧する桜島フェリーで、同市西陵２丁目の総菜店が製造したオードブルが原因の食中毒が発生したと断定し、５日から４日間の営業停止処分を出したと発表した。症状のあった１０人は快方に向かっているという。市生活衛生課によると、８月２４日夜にオードブルの唐揚げやチキン南蛮などを食べた２グループ計１０人が、翌朝から下痢や腹痛などの症状を訴えた。このうち８人から腸管毒素原性大腸菌Ｏ１６９が検出された。オードブルは１０皿販売された。市船舶局によると、フェリーには約８００人が乗船。メールでおわびと体調不良がないか呼びかけている。

Probably the culprit is "magic bread," a sandwich that is very popular in the working-class neighborhoods of the city, mainly made with potatoes and eggs and sold from 6 dirhams (about USD 0.62). The publication cites a snack bar that recently opened in the Sbata neighborhood.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) today [29 Aug 2024] announced a second confirmed case of eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) in a human and a second confirmed case in a horse this year [2024].
The human case is a woman in her 30s. Both were exposed in the area of Plymouth County, which was aerial sprayed Tuesday night [27 Aug 2024], and both became infected before spraying was done this week.

New Hampshire man tests positive for EEE

Description of the situation
感染が確認されたのは，Son La province, a northern mountainous province in Viet Nam bordering the Lao People's Democratic Republic の持病のある70歳女性で，1か月滞在していた実家 her home village in Hung Yen province から戻った1週間後に，発熱，倦怠感，食欲低下の症状を発症した。6月1日に入院し，肺炎と診断され，6月5日にインフルエンザAと迅速検査で確認され，the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases (NHTD) に転院したが，6日後の同11日に死亡した。5日に採取された検体の，reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) で influenza A virus と確認され，8月1日に genomic sequencing により influenza A(H1N1)v virus と判断され，the WHO Collaborating Centre (WHO CC) for influenza at the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (US CDC) において同5日に確定診断されている。
患者は1人暮らしで少数の住民と介護者との接触があった。6月から8月11日までに接触者の中に呼吸器症状を訴えたものはなく，居住地でのアウトブレイクの報告もなかった。
