Spain is facing a worrying situation: 894 confirmed cases of hepatitis A mark the largest increase in cases in a decade.

大統領 Tanzania's President が20日，国内北西部でマールブルグ病アウトブレイクの発生があり confirmed an outbreak of the deadly Marburg virus in the northwest of the country, これまでに1例の感染が確定診断された one confirmed case と明らかにした。

"Kabaile Mobile Laboratory in Kagera，次いで Dar es Salaam で行った検査により，患者1名のマールブルグウイルス Marburg virus 感染が確認された" と記者会見 a press conference that was also attended by World Health Organisation (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in Dodoma, a town in the centre of the country で発表した。

先週，保健相はアウトブレイクの発生を否定し，国内で同ウイルス感染症の検査陽性例はいないと述べていた。the WHO が10日，同地域で8名が死亡しこのウイルス感染が疑われるとの信頼できる報告があったとしたことに対する否定だった。

患者らには，マールブルグ病の典型的な症状である，頭痛，高熱，背部痛，下痢，吐血，筋力低下，外出血などがみられていた。このウイルス性出血熱の致死率は最高88%に達する，エボラと同じウイルス科に属するウイルスが原因となる。

At least 25例の疑い例 suspected cases はすべて検査陰性であったと大統領が説明した。

Tedros said the WHO would release USD 3 million from the WHO's contingency fund for emergencies to support efforts to contain the outbreak in Tanzania.

Kagera で2回目のアウトブレイクで，2023年に合計9例の感染と6例の死亡が報告された。

タンザニア政府当局が20日，北西部 the northwestern Kagera region におけるマールブルグ病のアウトブレイク an outbreak of Marburg virus disease について明らかにした。感染疑い例の検査により，1例の同ウイルス検査陽性が確認されたと，同国大統領が記者会見 a press briefing alongside World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, in the country's administrative capital Dodoma で明らかにした。

"Laboratory tests conducted at Kabaile Mobile Laboratory in Kagera and later confirmed in Dar es Salaam の検査により，患者1名のマールブルグウイルスの感染が確定診断された。幸い，他の感染疑い例の検査はすべて陰性だった。過去にも同様のアウトブレイクの封じ込めを行っており，今回もそれを証明できた"。

1月20日現在，Biharamulo district in Kagera において25例の感染疑い例が報告されており，すべての検査が陰性でフォローアップされていると説明した。

Tanzania previously reported an outbreak of Marburg in March 2023 -- the country's first -- in Kagera region, in which a total of 9 cases (8 confirmed and one probable) and 6 deaths were reported, with a case fatality ratio of 67%.

アフリカ地域では過去に，アンゴラ，コンゴ(民)，ガーナ，ケニア，赤道ギニア，ルワンダ，南アフリカ，ウガンダでアウトブレイクまたは弧発例が報告されている。

Marburg virus はオオコウモリ fruit bats から感染し，体液等によりヒトの間で感染が拡大する。

複数の治療候補 candidate medical countermeasures の臨床試験が行われているが，承認を受けた Marburg virus disease 治療薬や治療・予防ワクチンはまだない。ただし，補液や対症療法などの支持療法により，生存率は向上する。
