the 2-dose MMR vaccination regime が導入されて以降、ムンプス Mumps ウイルス感染症（おたふくかぜ、流行性耳下腺炎）の症例発生は次第に減少していた。しかし、最近複数の国からムンプスの感染流行が報告されている。今回、ドイツ国内で発生したアウトブレイクについて報告する。6月1日から10月31日までに115人の患者の感染が、検査により確定診断されている。報告されている合併症としては、髄膜炎が1例、精巣炎 orchitis が21例と、高率に合併症が発生している。われわれは北部 Bavaria 地方の若年成人を対象としたワクチン接種キャンペーンを実施することで、重症のムンプス感染症を減少させることが可能だと考える。
