ハイチ Haiti の国境なき医師団の関係者によると、首都の医療機関において、憂慮すべき勢いでコレラ Cholera 患者数が増加している。週当たりの患者数が、1ヶ月前の250人から、850人に増加した。雨期の到来により感染拡大が容易となったことが原因と見られている。

6日、デラウェア州保険当局 the Delaware Public Health [DPH] Laboratory で、2003年以来となる Kent County の45歳男性1名の野兎病 Tularemia 患者が確認された。8年間デラウェア州での野兎病の報告はなかったが、全米では毎年125-150例が報告されている

The Huancabamba Province, Piura Region におけるバルトネラ症 an outbreak of bartonellosis (Carrion's disease) により、複数の重症例や死者が発生している。epidemiological week 39 [26 Sep-2 Oct 2011] の時点で当局は 74 cases を報告しており、 96 percent (71/74) が確定診断されている。45 percent (33/74) が急性型 -- Oroya fever -- で 55 percent (41/74) が慢性型-- verruga peruana [Peruvian wart] の感染であった。感染流行により2人が死亡している。
