Dolores partido [2nd level administrative division] の繁殖用のウシ農場1か所で、80頭の成牛が死亡した。4月前半に多数の動物が突然死し、クロストリジウム菌による腸毒症 ? enterotoxaemia と誤って診断され、ワクチンが接種された。それでも死亡が続いたため、別の獣医師が呼ばれ、中手骨の検体が送付 [アルゼンチンで炭疽が疑われた場合の、標準的な手続き] された。炭疽菌感染が確定され、Sterne ワクチンの接種が実施された
