"_Vibrio vulnificus_は，乳糖発酵性，好塩性 halophilic，グラム陰性，日和見感染性病原体で，河口環境 estuarine environments で確認され，プランクトン，甲殻貝類(カキ，アサリ，カニ)，ひれのある魚？ finfish などの海洋生物に関係する。温度，pH，塩分濃度，溶存有機物などの影響を受ける。塩水中の normal flora であり，同菌の検出が汚染の指標とはならない。開放創の同菌を含む塩水による暴露，あるいはサンゴや魚類などによる受傷後の暴露が，創感染の原因となる。同菌の嚥下により胃腸炎が起きることがある。The "primary septicemia (原発性敗血症)" form of the disease は，慢性疾患，特に肝疾患患者の，同菌を保有するシーフードの生食後に起きる。また，損傷のある皮膚から through damaged skin，菌が侵入して血流に入り，敗血性ショックから，多くの症例 (50 %)で急速に死に至ることがある。 70 %以上の患者に，特徴的な水疱性皮膚病変 distinctive bullous skin lesions を認める]

1. Lassa fever
1.1. A total of 10 suspected cases of Lassa fever with 4 Lab confirmed were reported from 8 LGAs (5 States) in week 22, 2017 compared with one suspected case from Karu LGA (Nasarawa State) at the same period in 2016.
1.2. Laboratory results of the 10 suspected cases were 4 positives (Edo - 4) and 6 negatives (Katsina - 3, Kogi - 1, Ogun - 1 and Taraba - 1).
1.3. Between weeks 1 and 22 (2017), 298 suspected Lassa fever cases with 64 laboratory confirmed cases and 49 deaths (CFR, 16.44 percent) from 59 LGAs (21 States) were reported compared with 717 suspected cases with 71 laboratory confirmed cases and 87 deaths (CFR, 12.15 percent) from 125 LGAs (27 States) during the same period in 2016 (Figure 1).
1.4. Between weeks 1 and 52 2016, 921 suspected Lassa fever cases with 109 laboratory confirmed cases and 119 deaths (CFR, 12.92 percent) from 144 LGAs (28 States and FCT)； during the same period in 2015，430 suspected cases with 25 laboratory confirmed cases and 40 deaths (CFR, 9.30 percent) from 37 LGAs (14 States and FCT) (Figure 2).
