... As there are 4 serotypes of DENV (DENV1-4) ... 初回感染により，the serotype of infection (type-specific) の中和抗体産生が刺激されるのに対し，2度目の感染では，2 or more serotypes への cross-neutralize 作用のある抗体産生が刺激される。
以前の研究により，初回感染後の中和抗体 neutralizing antibodies induced by primary infections は，各血清型特有のウイルスエンベロープタンパク the viral envelope (E) protein 上の tertiary and quaternary structure epitopes を認識することが示されている。
今回の研究の最終的な目的は，異なる血清型のウイルスによる 2回目の感染後に誘導される，中和抗体の特性を明らかにすることである。2回目の感染後のポリクローナル中和抗体反応が，遭遇した各血清型ウイルスに特異的な抗体 distinct populations of type-specific antibodies で構成されるのか，あるいは，新たな広範囲の交差中和抗体 a new population of broadly cross-neutralizing antibodies によりなされるのかを調べた。
反応には 2種類あることが判明した； 2回目の感染例の一部は，cross-reactive antibodies による DENV の中和が行われる一方，他の感染例では both type-specific and cross-reactive antibodies のいずれもが中和反応に与っていた。
型特異性中和抗体 type-specific と交差反応型中和抗体 cross-reactive neutralizing antibodies の由来を理解するため，はっきりと 2種類の型のウイルスだけに感染したことが確認できた患者からの血清を解析した。これらの患者には，感染した 2種類の血清型ウイルスに対する，both type-specific and cross-reactive neutralizing antibodies が存在する一方，(感染したことがない) 他の血清型に対しては，only cross-reactive neutralizing antibodies だけが確認された。
まとめると，different DENV serotypes への曝露により，抗体の質 the quality of neutralizing (and presumably protective) antibodies が異なることがわかった

The 67-year-old male, resident of Zhangjia town of Renshou county, was in serious condition and remained in Renshou county people's hospital for treatment and quarantine.

the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau で発生した赤痢 the dysentery outbreak により，1人が死亡し，60人が入院となっている。現在は沈静化しているものの再興のリスクが高いと，保健当局 the provincial Preventive Health Centre が述べている。2月に the 1st cases of dysentery が報告された。4月後半に 27例の患者が確認された。The health centre in Phong Tho District でも 11 patients が赤痢の症状を発症し，72歳の女性が死亡した。いずれの患者でも赤痢菌 _Shigella flexneri_ が検出されている ...
