7日，州保健相 The state Secretary of Health が，the 2nd case of yellow fever in humans in Itatiba [Sao Paulo, SP]について明らかにした。この 68歳の患者は，現在も the Unicamp hospital in Campinas に入院しており，退院の見通しは立っていない。10月17日に市保健当局が 76歳の黄熱患者が死亡したと発表している。the Itatiba municipal government の発表では，この患者の居住地である Jundiai (SP)州境の市では，黄熱による 67頭のサルの死亡が確認されている。the Adolfo Lutz Institute において，患者の黄熱ウイルス感染が確認されている。
