1750 laboratory-confirmed cases of MERS-CoV infection, including
708 deaths [reported case fatality rate 40.5 per cent], 1028 recoveries, and 14 currently active cases/infections.
Since the last ProMED-mail update, through 29 Nov 2017, there have been a total of:
3 newly confirmed cases,
2 newly reported fatality, and
4 newly reported recoveries.
Information on newly confirmed cases (3 cases)
All 3 newly confirmed cases were:
- Saudi males
- Non-healthcare workers
- Classified as primary cases with high risk exposure histories still under investigation.

1- A 90-year-old from Riyadh [Riyadh region] reported to be in critical condition.
Date: 4 Dec 2017 (1 case)
2- A 64-year old from Sakaka [Al Jawf region] reported to be in stable condition.

3- A 71-year-old from Buraidah [Al Qaṣīm region] reported to be in stable condition. Reported as a fatality on 11 Dec 2017 (see fatality No. 1 below).
