2017年は、合計 13 803例のコレラ感染 suspected cases of cholera: ハイチ 13 681 cases (including 159 deaths) およびドミニカ共和国 122 cases (including 4 deaths) が報告された。2016年と比較して 2017年は両国において減少したが、ドミニカ共和国では特に人口 10万対の罹患率が 11.5から 1.20に激減した。ハイチでは、同 374から 112への減少だった。死者数も、Haiti (from 446 to 159 deaths) および the Dominican Republic (from 27 to 4 deaths) と大きく減少した。epidemiological week (EW) 29 of 2018 [15-21 Jul 2018] までの期間に、両国がある同島において、2883 cholera cases が報告されており、99 % (2843 cases, including 34 deaths) がハイチから報告された。このほかメキシコでも、Sinaloa において感染した 43歳女性のコレラ感染例 a cholera case (_Vibrio cholerae_ O1 toxigenic) が報告されており、発症日は 6月16日であったが、他の感染例は報告されていない ... 以下、詳細は原文参照願います。
