Between 27 Mar 2022 and 31 Mar 2022，コンゴ民主共和国 Rethy Health Zone (RHZ), located in the Djugu Territory, Ituri Province, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) で，16人の腺ペスト疑い患者 suspect bubonic plague cases が報告され，うち 2人が死亡した。3カ所の医療施設，すなわち Rassia (2 cases / 1 death), Lokpa (11 cases / 1 death) and Kpandroma (3 cases / 0 death) から報告された。3月28日に the village of Lokpa の.30歳女性が死亡したと，the Rassia health center の看護師から通報があった。そけい部の痛み，発熱と悪寒のため 26日に入院となった。ゲンタマイシンによる治療 given gentamicin treatment にもかかわらず病状が悪化し，そけい部の腫脹の痛みが強くなり，嘔吐，咳嗽，intense asthenia を伴って 28日死亡した。到着した支援チームにより安全な埋葬が行われた。同チームにより新たに 9例の活動性のペスト疑い例が確認された。23日から居住地区周辺でネズミの大量死が起きていたことが判明した。3人が家庭内クラスターで，この家で 26日から28日の間に飼育していた 6 guinea pigs が死に，2匹がカラスに食べられたので，残る4匹を調理して食べたと報告した。31日に the Lokpa health center は新たな 3例と，29日にゲンタマイシン治療を行っていた咳と血痰がみられた 5歳児の死亡を報告した ...

2019年10月24日に WHO はポリオウイルス 3型の世界的根絶を発表した。野生株ポリオウイルス 3型による最後の患者は 2012年のナイジェリアの患者だった。それから 10年経過した今，エルサレム周辺で経口ワクチン由来の 3型ウイルス感染アウトブレイクが報告されている。1964年以降，3種類のワクチン株ウイルスの中で，ワクチン関連麻痺性ポリオの最も多い原因が 3型であることは広く知られている。3型ウイルスの経口ワクチンのベネフィットリスクは，2012年に負となっている。（2012年のナイジェリアの最後の野生株ポリオウイルス 3型患者以降）3年間発生がなければ通常は根絶を宣言してよい。つまり，2016年1月以降 3型ウイルスワクチンを使用することは倫理的に間違っている ...
