2022年6月30日に EBLV-2 検査で陽性と確認されたコウモリの種類 The species は，先に Brandt's bat とされていたとおり，Muséum d'histoire naturelle, Genève の研究者により間違いなく _Myotis daubentonii_ と確認された。これまでにスイス国内で確認された the previous 3 cases of EBLV-2 が，欧州で 2種類目のコウモリ狂犬病ウイルスの保有宿主の種であったことに一致する。
