From 27 Mar 2022 to 31 Jul 2022 の 127 days of the epidemic にわたり，the health zone of Rethy, located in Djugu territory, Ituri province, DR Congo からのペスト感染例 plague cases の報告が続いている。合計 537 suspected cases of plague が報告され，an attack rate of 0.21% with 7 deaths (case fatality rate 1.3%) となっている。
もっとも多く感染者を報告しているのは，Lokpa with 43.2% of cases, 次いで Uketha with 6%, and Rassia with 3.4% である。7月に新たな地域 villages close to the Lokpa health areaに感染が拡大した: 4 new villages in the Uketha health area in the south, 4 new villages in Kpandroma in the west, 1 village in the Terrali health area in the north, and 1 pulmonary case has been notified far away in Libi.
