Summary of the issue
Additional protections for the use of FMT
clinical use of FMT には，サル痘ウイルス感染伝播のおそれがある。重大な副作用であることから，2022年3月15日以降に提供された便については，さらなる注意が必要であると判断した。
These additional protections are as follows:
- ドナースクリーニング Donor screening として，3月15日以降に提供された検体の後ろ向きサル痘スクリーニング retrospective screening for the use of FMT
- Development of criteria for exclusion of donors and donor stool based on donor screening; and
- Informed consent that includes information about the potential for transmission of monkeypox virus via FMT, including FMT prepared from stool from donors who are asymptomatic for monkeypox.
