ブラジル国内の深刻な黄熱感染状況 the considerable morbidity and mortality of yellow fever virus (YFV) infections in Brazil と，非ヒト霊長類での広範な蔓延状況にもかかわらず，ウイルスのゲノム情報が十分ではないため，アウトブレイクの理解に支障を来している。YFV spread の時間的空間的経過とともに，アマゾン地域外 extra-Amazonian regions での流行を伴う地域感染状態の国内北部に関連する the geographic hotspots を明らかにすることは，将来のアウトブレイクの予測と防止にとって重要である。
今回，ヒト及び非ヒト霊長類の感染例から採取した新たな黄熱ウイルスのゲノム情報を，疫学およびベクターのデータとともに集約することで，最近のウイルスの感染拡大状況を追跡した。系統発生学モデルと疫学モデルを融合し，ブラジル国内の異なる流行時期 different epidemic seasons におけるウイルスの感染伝播経過を再構築した。
高度に環境適応したネッタイシマカ the highly domesticated _Aedes aegypti_ の A suitability index により，ヒトの感染例の季節性を捉えることができた。空間モデル化によって過去の感染報告と低いワクチン接種率を伴ったホットスポットが明らかになり，南東部 the Southeast 最大の都市部の大部分と一致していた。発生学的動態解析から the circulation of 3 distinct YFV lineages が明らかになり，既知の the endemic North with the extra-Amazonian basin につながるウイルス感染拡大の流れ the directionality of a known spatial corridor を支持する結果となった。
This study illustrates that genomics linked with field sampling of animals and humans within a One Health framework can provide new insights into the landscape of YFV transmission, augmenting traditional approaches to infectious disease surveillance and control.
