ブラジル医薬品当局 Brazil's drug authority Anvisa が，武田製薬の新たなデングワクチン a new vaccine against dengue fever. Qdenga, produced by Takeda Pharma の，4歳から60歳までの使用について承認した。3か月間隔で2回の皮下接種により投与される。この新たな注射薬は，4種類のデングウイルスすべてが含まれ，十分な予防効果が付与される。2022年，ブラジル全国で1000人以上がデング熱合併症で死亡した。1か月前の2月に the National Technical Commission on Biosafety (CTNBio) が安全性 the safety of the Qdenga vaccine を確認し，now pending approval by Anvisa の状況にある。Qdenga は欧州保健機関 the European Health Agency の承認も得ている。Anvisa に認可されれば国内で同製品の流通が許可される。ただし，引きつづき製造メーカーによる副反応モニタリングの対象となる。ブラジル国内で認可を得ているもう1種類のデングワクチンの Dengvaxia は，デングウイルス感染の既往歴のある場合にのみ接種可能である。
