少なくとも10人の患者の報告があったことから、レストラン等で問題がみつかった韓国産冷凍生ガキを使用しないよう、The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) が注意を呼びかけている。
The oysters were frozen raw in individual half shell and block form and exported by Dai One Food Co Ltd. of South Korea, according to the warning from the FDA.
Hawaii, Georgia or Minnesota 各州で生ガキを摂取したあとに体調を崩し、特に妊婦、高齢者、免疫不全患者である場合には医療機関の受診が勧められている。問題となっているカキは、between 10 Feb 2022 and 24 Feb 2022, and on 13 Apr 2022 and 14 Apr 2022 に Designated Area No. II において採取され、Dai One Food Co, Ltd. of South Korea が輸出を行っていた。同社は回収を行っている。

2022年1月以降、アフリカ大陸のペスト発生地域 the bubonic plague hotspot である、コンゴ民主共和国内 the Rethy health zone, located in the Djugu territory, Ituri province, DR Congo において、腺ペスト感染が疑われる症例 suspect cases of bubonic plague の報告が続いている。一部の患者は現地で迅速診断検査に続いて行われた INRB laboratory（での検査）により確定されている。2022年、the Rethy health zone alone に限っても、624 suspected cases of plague -- mostly of them bubonic (616 cases) , with 12 deaths (case fatality rate 1.9%) が報告された。2023年初以降、すでに29 cases with 4 deaths が報告されており、最も報告が多い地域 the most affected health areas は Lokpa AS, with 77% of cases, followed by Uketha AS 12.2%, and Rassia AS 6.7% である。さらに, 商業ハブ地域、the city of Kpandroma 周辺でも18 cases (2.9%) の報告があり、この地域で最も人口密度が高く物流も盛んな the Kpandroma trading center への波及を保健当局は危惧している。2022年の1週間あたりの平均感染者数は15例で、week 24 (12-18 Jun) には53例が報告された。
the Rethy health zone に隣接する The Logo health zone でも5月24日に3例が報告されている。この地域は10年以上発生が報告されていなかった。発生のあった the Alagi health area では、2022年以降ネズミの大量死が報告されていた。

A群連鎖球菌感染症 streptococcus A (strep A) [_Streptococcus pyogenes_ or group A streptococci (GAS)] により7歳児が死亡し、8歳のいとこも入院となっている。年初以来、ギリシャ国内で6例目の strep A による死亡例となったと National Public Health Organization (EODY) が12日発表した。北部 Thessaloniki, northern Greece の病院に高熱のため入院となってから約24時間後の12日に死亡した。最終的に敗血性ショック後の心臓発作を発症した。両親は当初9日に、 Imathia region of northern Greece を受診させていたが、連鎖球菌感染症とは診断されず、敗血症性ショックが徐々に進んでいたにもかかわらず貴重な時間を失ったと父親は話している。一方、いとこには適切な治療が行われているとメディアは報じている。

2023年6月3日、Sabah におけるマラリア感染例の前年同期からの増加 an increase in malaria cases が報告されている。保健当局 Sabah Health Department の報告によれば Sabah において合計840 cases と、2022年同期 the same epidemiological week の534例に比べ57.3% 増加した。感染例の大部分の816 cases (97.14%) が、人獣共通感染マラリア zoonotic malaria の _Plasmodium knowlesi_ によるもので、ほか14例が imported human malaria cases (1.67%), 10例が human-introduced malaria cases (1.19%) であった。Zoonotic malaria は森林、農園（植林）、農業地帯の近くに住む人々に発生し、森林伐採、漁業、植林、ハンティングなどの活動に関係する。マレーシアでは2018年以降、国内マラリア感染ゼロ zero human indigenous malaria が続いている。しかし、the state of Sabah などで zoonotic malaria as well as imported human malaria があると説明されている。
最近、マレーシアのサルマラリア感染例の増加 an increase in _P. knowlesi_ or monkey malaria cases は、サルから蚊族を介したヒトへの溢出 spillover from macaques to mosquitoes to people が原因と報告されている。
[Mod.LXL－ マレーシアは、2016年に WHO により、2020年までにマラリアが排除される可能性がある西太平洋地域の3カ国 the 3 countries in the WHO Western Pacific Region のうちの1つとされていた。実際、2018年以降マレーシアでヒトの国内マラリア感染例ゼロが達成されている。しかし、zoonotic malaria due to _P. knowlesi_ が増加しつつあり、Sabah は世界で最も多く感染が記録されている the world's highest recorded rates of _P. knowlesi_ infection。
_P. knowlesi_ が初めてヒトに感染することが確認 a significant cause of human malaria されたのは2004年の Malaysian Borneo で、4日熱マラリア感染 _P. malariae_ cases と診断されていた。Human _P. knowlesi_ infections は重症化し死亡することもある。保有する宿主動物は the long-tailed or crab-eating macaque (_Macaca fascicularis_) and the pig-tailed macaque (_M. nemestrina_) である。Sabah において _P. knowlesi_ malaria の感染リスク因子として、農村部の居住、男性、植林、森林内での宿泊、昆虫忌避剤の不使用、マラリア感染歴があげられている。森林伐採にともなう耕作地域の拡大もヒトの感染 human _P. knowlesi_ infections 拡大の要因で、なぜなら森がなくなることでヒトとサルとの近接がもたらされる。
人獣共通感染症であることから、感染伝播形式 the transmission dynamics of _P. knowlesi_ に、人獣共通感染症ではないマラリア the 4 major nonzoonotic human malaria parasites との大きな違いがある。最近のモデル研究により、マレーシア国内でヒトからヒトへの感染伝播は起きていない no sustained nonzoonotic (that is, human-to-human) transmission of _P. knowlesi_ in Malaysia ことが示唆されている 参考文献6件]

Aster yellows could become a significant problem for canola growers in 2023. Testing in Saskatchewan indicates that a relatively high percentage of aster leafhoppers blowing in from the United States are currently carrying the disease. There have been severe outbreaks in western Canada.
