マレーバレー脳炎 Murray Valley encephalitis に感染した旅行者が病院 a metropolitan hospital に入院となった。同ウイルスに関して、Western Australia (WA) は12年ぶりに最悪のシーズンとなっている。保健当局 The Department of Health は、異常な降雨量とヒトの感染が発生 ongoing human cases of the mosquito-borne Murray Valley encephalitis (MVE) する中、 the Kimberley region の住民および旅行者らに蚊の刺咬には特別に注意するよう呼びかけている。2023年のこれまでに2人がマレーバレー脳炎で死亡していることを受けた注意喚起で、the Kimberley region では過去12ヶ月間にこのほかにも4人が感染し、最も新しい患者が6月下旬に発生している

A Glasgow hospital ward has been closed to patients following a virus outbreak

胃腸炎症状 symptoms of gastroenteritis の患者が多数発生したことから、グラスゴーの病院の病棟 Glasgow Royal Infirmary's ward 2 が新たな入院患者の受け入れを停止している。保健当局 NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde の広報担当者の話によると:

"A small number of patients in Ward 2 of Glasgow's Royal Infirmary are displaying symptoms of gastroenteritis, with norovirus（ノロウイルス）common in the wider community at this time. "We are awaiting results of testing, but in line with strict infection control procedures, admissions to the ward have been temporarily paused, until the results are available.

USA: Cyclospora Outbreak increases by 371 to 581 sick in 31 states and NYC

7月11日時点で、発症前の14日間に海外渡航歴のない合計581例のサイクロスポーラ症 laboratory-confirmed cases of cyclosporiasis from 32 jurisdictions, including 31 states and New York City が報告されている。6月22日の最新報告から371例増加した。患者の年齢は3歳から96歳までで中央値は49歳であり、発症日は4月1日から7月2日までの期間（中央値5月28日）である。情報が得られた569例中、55例が入院したが死亡は報告されていない。

輸入ブロッコリ関連のアウトブレイク an outbreak associated with raw imported broccoli の20 cases in Georgia and Alabama が含まれている ... there was not enough information to identify a specific type or producer of the broccoli.

The broccoli outbreak は終息したとみられている。

_Cyclospora_ は単細胞の寄生虫で顕微鏡でなければ見ることはできない。かつては藻類か大型のクリプトスポリジウム a blue-green alga or a large form of _Cryptosporidium と考えられていた。

Cyclospora cayetanensis_ is the only species of this organism found in humans.
