2023年初以降、およそ 250例のサルモネラ感染症 _Salmonella_ infections in the United Kingdom がトルコ旅行に関係している。英国保健当局 The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) が夏の海外旅行時の感染症リスク低減のアドバイスを行っている。トルコから帰国した旅行者の間で、消化管疾患のクラスターが多数確認されており、その主な渡航先は the Antalya region となっている。全遺伝子解析 Whole genome sequencing (WGS) で、一部のクラスター同士の関連が認められ、共通の感染源の可能性が示されている。

2023年6月26日、ペルー共和国（以下「ペルー」）国立疫学・予防・疾病管理センター（CDC）は、国内の様々な地域でギラン・バレー症候群（GBS）症例が異常に増加しているため、疫学的警報を発令しました。2019年のアウトブレイクを除く過去のデータによると、ギラン・バレー症候群症例の登録数は全国平均で月20例未満です。しかし、2023年6月10日から7月15日の間に、ギラン・バレー症候群の疑い例が130例報告されています。このうち44例が確定診断されおり、予測を上回る症例数が確認されています。

ペルー大統領府は2023年7月初旬、この予期せぬ症例増加を受けて国家保健緊急事態を宣言し、公衆衛生上の対応を強化しました。今回のギラン・バレー症候群発症増加の原因については、現在も調査中です ...

2021年5月に届け出義務疾患に分類された後、ダニ刺咬によるダニ媒介性脳炎 tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) は注意深く監視されている。学校の夏休み開始にあたり、公衆衛生当局 Public Health France は国内感染例 the number of locally acquired (in France) TBE infections が増加しているとして注意を呼びかけている。このフラビウイルス flavivirus はフランス本土で感染が拡大するとともに、the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region でも high rates of circulation of the virus が観察されており、特に山岳地域 mountainous regions like the Forez Massifs のリスクが高い。欧州全域でも発生数が増加しており、特に深刻な状況にあるのはチェコ共和国、ドイツ、バルト海沿岸である。
