レジオネラ症初発例 A 1st case of legionellosis が最近当局 the ASL [Azienda Sanitaria Locale - Local Health Unit] に確認されていたが、2023年5月に the town of Serravalle [a commune in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian Piedmont Region] のホテルに滞在した a [2nd] person が感染した。7月13日、a new [3rd] case in the same building の感染が確認され、市長が建物の使用禁止 the (temporary) closure を命じた。レジオネラ菌を含むエアロゾルの吸入または混入した水の摂取により感染することが多い。

western Africa and South-East においてコレラ感染の報告が続いており、the eastern and southern parts of Africa, parts of the Middle East and 2 countries in the Americas からも報告された。among returning EU/EEA travelers の間でも毎年少数の感染例が報告されている。渡航者のコレラ感染リスクは依然として低い。2021年は2 cases in EU/EEA Member States が報告されたのみであるが、3 and 26 cases were reported in 2020 and 2019, respectively であり、すべての症例に cholera-affected areas への渡航歴が認められた。
the WHO によると、直接の暴露の可能性がある emergency and relief workers など、よりリスクの高い渡航者についてワクチン接種を検討すべきであり、一般の旅行者にはワクチン接種は推奨されていない。
