2023年7月、デンマークが5月以降に採取された検体におけるサルモネラ感染の微生物学検査上のクラスター a microbiological cluster of _Salmonella [enterica_ serotype] Enteritidis ST11 [ST = sequence type - Mod.LL] infections with sampling dates starting in May [2023] を報告した。8月25日までに、遺伝学的に非常に近い関係のある97 cases with recent (2023) or historical isolates が、オーストリア Austria (6), ベルギー Belgium (6), デンマーク Denmark (22), フィンランド Finland (5), フランス France (19), ドイツ Germany (1), アイルランド Ireland (12), オランダ the Netherlands (12), ノルウェー Norway (9), スロベニア Slovenia (3), and スウェーデン Sweden (2) で確認された。デンマーク国内における19例の聞き取り調査で大部分が、チキンを使った kebab or pizza の摂取を報告している。オーストリアでも7例中2例が発症前7日間にチキンケバブを、他の2例も other chicken dishes (chicken burrito and chicken schnitzel) を食べていた。

2022年12月7日、テキサス州保健当局 On 7 Dec 2022, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Public Health Region 6/5 South (PHR 6/5S) and DSHS Consumer Protection Division は、現地レストランで生および燻製のカキを摂取した消費者からの10件の苦情 consumer complaints of illness after consumption of raw (9 complaints) and smoked (1) oysters at local restaurants during 27 Nov 2022 - 4 Dec 2022 についてGalveston County Health District から報告を受けた。摂取から8時間以内に発症し、下痢、嘔気、嘔吐などの症状がみられた。当初はいずれの患者も医療機関は受診しなかった。関係する3軒のレストランのカキに付けられたタグから、Oyster Harvest Area TX 1 (TX 1) in Galveston Bay のカキであることが判明した。
