スウェーデンにおいては、（ダニではなく）感染性蚊族が主なベクターである infected mosquitoes are the most common vectors ことを指摘しておきたい。蚊族にとって好適環境である今夏のスウェーデンの多湿に加え、蚊族の駆除 pesticide が足りていないことが、2023年の野兎病 tularemia 増加の説明になるかもしれない。従って、ダニの生存や活動性にとって適した、より温暖な気温はおそらく、唯一あるいは主な説明になっていないのではないだろうか（個人的見解だが）。
