Abstract
米国では2003年以来となる、蚊族が伝播した国内感染による三日熱マラリア mosquito-transmitted (i.e., autochthonous) _Plasmodium vivax_ malaria の感染例が8例、CDC from state health departments in Florida and Texas（フロリダ州とテキサス州）during 18 May 2023 - 17 Jul 2023 に報告された。2023年8月4日現在、サーベイランスや医療機関への周知が行われているが、国内感染リスクは依然として非常に低いまま the risk for autochthonous malaria in the USAS remains very low である ...
Investigation and Results
2023年6月18日、フロリダ州保健当局 the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) から _Plasmodium_ species の確定診断に関する遠隔診断 telediagnosis assistance from DPDx, CDC's interactive parasitic diseases website の依頼があった。リスク因子（すなわち、海外渡航歴、薬物静注、輸血、臓器移植）のない、マラリアが疑われる患者で、CDC は三日熱マラリア _Plasmodium vivax_ と確定診断し、2003年に Palm Beach County, Florida で8例の感染が確認された時以来となるマラリア国内感染例、に関する調査を開始した。
2023年6月7日、テキサス州の病院からも CDC DPDx telediagnosis assistance to confirm malaria in a patient who also did not report any known risk factors の依頼があり、同様に三日熱マラリアと確定診断したと、州保健当局 the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) に通知した。同州で最後に国内感染が確認されたのは1994年である。
During 19 Jun 2023 - 17 Jul 2023 の期間に新たに6例 additional cases of autochthonous _P. vivax_ malaria が、フロリダ州保健当局 FDOH から報告された。
8例の患者はいずれも過去にマラリアと診断されたことはなかった。
今回の報告は、2023年8月に the National Capital Region, Maryland から報告された熱帯熱マラリア国内感染 the recent locally acquired case of _P. falciparum_ malaria には関係していない。
フロリダ州の7例はすべて、within a 4-mile (6.4-km) radius in Sarasota County の圏内の住民だった。同じ地域 the same immediate area で、2023年4月20日に発症した輸入感染例 An imported case of _P. vivax_ malaria が報告されている。
テキサス州では（今回の）国内感染例と同じ地域内で in the same area in Cameron County、2023年5月2日発症の輸入感染例 an imported case of _P. vivax_ malaria が報告されていた。
各州の輸入感染例 the imported cases in Florida and Texas と、国内感染例 these autochthonous malaria cases との関連は明らかではない。2つの州のアウトブレイクどおしが関連するとの証拠もない。

No established vaccine is yet available for this serotype. Unfortunately, vaccinations for other serotypes do not lead to the build-up of antibodies against this serotype.
