Two cases of measles have been reported in children in the greater New Orleans area, according to the Louisiana Department of Health. Chhuk district, Kampot province の17歳少女の鳥インフルエンザ感染例 the case of H5N1 bird flu について、The Ministry of Health 保健省が2月21日に発表した。2月20日、the National Institutes of Public Health 公衆衛生研究所で the H5N1 bird flu virus 陽性と確認された。Damnak Trop Khang Tbong village, Kraing Snay commune, Chhuk district, Kampot province に在住していた。
発熱、咳嗽、疲労、呼吸困難がみられたが、病状は回復しつつある。発病のおよそ5日前に自宅で7羽のダックが死亡していた。

the Rety health zone, approximately 100 kilometers [62 mi] north of the town of Bunia, territory of Djugu (Ituri) において、先週以降、死亡した５例を含むおよそ50例の腺ペスト cases of bubonic plague が確認されており、the community 内の初発例は８日に報告されていた。
この中には、教室で発症した13名の生徒 students from Kpandroma primary school （2名は幼稚園児）が含まれており、この学校 a primary school in Kpandroma in the Rety health zone in the Walendu Pitsi chiefdom での授業中に意識を失った。
They were showing symptoms of the plague.
20日までに、このほかに5名がペストの症状を発症している。2月初旬以降の患者は52例となり、うち5例はすでに死亡しており、20例が治療を受けている。ベクターであるラットの駆除などの衛生対策の強化が呼びかけられている。
[Mod.LL－ 正確なペストの症状や診断方法について書かれていない。Ituri province is a well-known endemic area for plague（ペスト常在地域）であり、1年のうちの今頃が患者発生の時期のようである。
げっ歯類に付く感染性のノミの刺咬による腺ペストの患者の大部分に、強い痛みのあるリンパ節腫脹がみられ、a bubo と呼ばれる。腺ペスト Bubonic plague を疑うべき患者とは、1か所のリンパ節腫脹 a swollen gland、発熱、 悪寒、頭痛、極端な疲労感があり、げっ歯類その他の動物またはノミと接触した可能性がある人々で、ノミの刺咬から通常2－6日後に腺ペストを発症する。
腺ペストは治療が行われない場合、ペスト菌が血流に侵入する。初めから菌血症となることもある。血中でペスト菌が増殖すると、急速に全身性に波及し、重篤でときに致死性の状態となる。ペスト菌が肺に感染すると肺ペスト the pneumonic form of plague の病態となり、重症の呼吸器疾患である。患者は高熱、悪寒、咳嗽、呼吸困難を生じ、血痰がみられることもある。特異的な抗生物質が使用されなかった場合、腺ペストの患者の疾患は急速に進行し死亡する。肺ペストは空気感染を介して伝播される]
