予防接種諮問委員会 the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) は、1回目接種の28日後から2回目の接種は可能としており、 the 2nd dose of MMR による有効性は effectiveness increases to 97% とされている。
イリノイ州 The State of Illinois では K-12 school attendance に2 doses of MMR vaccine を要求しているが、麻疹アウトブレイクの発生を受け、対象を5歳以下に拡大する予定である。ワクチンを接種していない生後12ヶ月未満の乳児は daycare に預けることはできない。

Regional situation summary

As of 19 Mar 2024, in the Region of the Americas においてコロンビア Colombia, ガイアナ Guyana, and ペルー Peru が黄熱 yellow fever cases を報告している。
Epidemiological situation of yellow fever in the Region of the Americas
2023年に地域内の4か国から、41例 confirmed cases of yellow fever, including 23 deaths が報告された: ボリビア Bolivia (5 cases, including 2 deaths) (4,5), ブラジル Brazil (6 cases, including 4 deaths) (6), コロンビア Colombia (2 cases, including one death) (7,8), and ペルー Peru (28 cases, including 16 deaths) 。

コロンビア Colombia, during EW 11 of 2024, 3 fatal cases of yellow fever were reported, captured in laboratory surveillance and histopathology for dengue mortality; confirmed through realtime PCR analysis. The cases originate from the municipalities of Villagarzón, Orito, and Valle del Guamuez, in the department of Putumayo.
ガイアナ Guyana, during EW 11, 2 laboratory-confirmed cases were identified.
The 1st case was identified in Boa Vista, in the state of Roraima, Brazil, corresponding to a 17-year-old male, resident of the community of Massara, 100 km [62 mi] from Lethen, bordering Bonfim, Roraima, with no history of vaccination. The case works in the rural area of Siparuni (forest region) harvesting trees; he presented onset of symptoms on 29 Feb 2024. On 12 Mar 2024, the RT-PCR test confirmed the identification of yellow fever jungle virus by the Central Public Health Laboratory of Roraima.
The 2nd case was identified during the investigation process and the performance of detection tests after the identification of the initial case. The case is a 21- year-old woman, with no history of vaccination, resident in Siparuni, in the same logging camp where the first case comes from. Her symptom onset began on 13 Mar 2024, with a positive result for yellow fever by RT-PCR test on 16 Mar 2024. Both cases are stable and under medical management (10).
ペルー Peru, between EW 1 and EW 11 of 2024, 25 probable cases of yellow fever were reported; 22 were discarded, one case remains under investigation in the department of San Martin, and 2 cases were laboratory confirmed. All had a history of exposure to wild and/or wooded areas, due to agricultural work activities. Cases were confirmed in the departments of Madre de Dios in the municipality of Tambopata (one case) and San Martin in the municipality of Lamas (one fatal case), the latter being the only death recorded for this period (9,11).
