21歳の大学生の鳥インフルエンザ感染 an H5 avian flu infection 例について地域保健当局者 Health officials in Viet Nam's Khanh Hoa province が認めているが、ウイルスの詳細については明らかにされていない。Khanh Hoa is on Viet Nam's southeastern coast 地域の感染症情報 an inflection disease news message board についての、現地メディア報道の FluTrackers による翻訳情報で明らかになった。
この患者は3月11日に発症し、数日後、母と妹のいる帰宅中の自宅の地域の医療機関を受診し、状態が悪化したため地域病院に入院となり、すぐに Khanh Hoa provincial hospital に搬送された。採取された検体が the Pasteur Institute in Nha Trang に送られ、H5 亜型鳥インフルエンザウイルス the H5 influenza virus と確認された。
入院中のこの男性の状態は重症で、the Provincial Hospital of Tropical Diseases 内に隔離されている。現時点で the subtype は明らかにされていないが、この数年間に older and recent H5N1 virus clades の患者が少数例報告されており、中国とラオスは H5N6 infections を報告している。感染経路についても明らかにされていない。

3月11日に Ninh Hoa Town の自宅に帰宅したあと、発熱と軽い咳嗽などの症状を発症し、薬局で購入した薬を服用し、医療機関も受診したが状態は改善しなかった。17日に状態が悪化し、 家族に付き添われ the Khanh Hoa General Hospital を受診した。2日後の19日に the Pasteur Institute in Nha Trang に検体が送付され、the avian influenza A(H5N1) の感染が確認された。さらに状態の悪化がみられ、隔離と治療のため the Khanh Hoa Hospital for Tropical Diseases に搬送された。
患者の自宅で、家族が捕獲した野鳥を飼育していたことがわかったが、すでに放鳥されていたため、検体は採取できなかった。

3月11日、この患者は発熱と咳の症状を発症し self-medicated を行ったが改善しなかった。Ninh Hoa Medical Center on 16-17 Mar 2024 を受診し、肺炎と診断され治療のため Khanh Hoa General Hospital に入院した。
3月19日に Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control で検体が採取され、20日に influenza A/H5 陽性と判明し、同22日に Nha Trang Pasteur Institute の検査により influenza A/H5N1 と確定診断された。重症となり、23日に志望した。
疫学調査により、旧正月の前後 before and after Lunar New Year 2024 に自宅周辺で野鳥を捕まえに出かけていた。家族の住む自宅周辺では、病鳥や死鳥は確認されていない。濃厚接触者の中に新たな感染例は確認されていない。
ベトナム国内で数年間ヒトの感染は確認されていなかったあとの2014年（の感染例確認）以降では、2例目の感染例 the second case of influenza A/H5N1 である。2022年10月に one case of influenza A/H5N1 in humans was recorded in Phu Tho が確認されている。
2003年からの累積では、国内で128 people infected with influenza A/H5N1, of which 65 died (50.8%) が報告されている。
世界全体では2023年末からこれまでに、多くの地域で動物の感染 many outbreaks of avian influenza in animals in all regions が確認されており、主に the A/H5N1 influenza virus strain による感染である。カンボジアでは2023年末以降、ヒトの感染例 cases of influenza A/H5N1 in humans の確認が続いている。

The estimated VE against COVID-19 hospitalization for 1 dose of BNT162b2 was 27% (95% CI...) and 38% (95% CI 27%, 48%) for 2 doses. The estimated VE against hospitalization remained stable when stratified by time. VE for the 1st 90 days was estimated to be 45% (95% CI 33, 55%), followed by 47% (95% CI 34, 56%) between 90 and 180 days, and 36% (95% CI 22, 45%) between 180 and 360 days.
