3例目となる、米国の酪農関係者の、感染したウシへの曝露による鳥インフルエンザ陽性例が検査で確認され、呼吸器症状のある初めての感染例であったと、30日に当局が明らかにした。他州に比べ多くのウシの感染が確認されているミシガン Michigan 州における、2例目のヒトの感染例である。これまでに検査で陽性が確認された2例は結膜炎の症状だけですでに回復しているが、今回は新たなヒトの感染症状が認められた。
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) は今回の症例の確認後も、一般市民に対する鳥インフルエンザのリスクは低いとする評価を変更せず、ヒト－ヒト感染の証拠もないとしている。

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) が新たに14例のラッサ熱 new Lassa fever cases with one death（死亡）in 3 states を確認した。Bauchi, Edo, and Ondo States において確認されたと明らかにされている。これらの感染例が確認された時期は between 6 and 12 May 2024 で、主に31歳から40歳までの年齢層であったと述べられた。
28 out of the 36 states have recorded at least one confirmed case spread across 125 local government areas in 2024.
The NCDC chief said: "64% of all the confirmed cases were from the 3 states of Ondo, Edo, and Bauchi while 36% was reported from 25 states.

予防接種当局者 The immunization technical reference person of SRS Varginha によると "this year [2024], 黄熱ワクチン接種率 the vaccination coverage against yellow fever achieved to date, on average across the 50 municipalities covered by SRS Varginha は83.93% であり、州平均 below the state of Minas Gerais average that reached, on average, 90.10% に比べ低い" 。

少なくとも20人の患者が発生した麻痺性貝中毒アウトブレイク An outbreak of paralytic shellfish poisoning の発生を受け、25日に a stretch of Oregon's coast で採取したムール貝 harvested mussels を廃棄するよう、オレゴン州保健当局 the Oregon Health Authority's Public Health Division が市民に呼びかけている。
