Greece dealing with _Salmonella_ outbreak

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) areas have recorded 2830 cases from 1 Jan to 13 Jul [2024], the highest in the state, with 110 hospitalisations. Notably, 202 new dengue cases have been reported in the past 24 hours.
Similarly, Chikkamagaluru recorded 599 cases till 13 Jul, which is the second-highest number of cases in the state.

イスラエルで過去2例目となる、脳炎の原因となるまれなアメーバ感染例 Israel's second-ever recorded case of _Naegleria fowleri_ の男性が死亡したと、Beilinson Hospital 病院が発表した。この生来健康であった26歳の男性は、Gai Beach in Tiberias での遊泳中にアメーバに曝露した。7月2日に発熱と頭痛、嘔吐の症状のため Sharon Hospital に入院したが状態が悪化し、Beilinson に転院した。
2022年8月に36歳男性が死亡している。

Abstract
ジアルジア Giardia intestinalis は非侵襲性原虫 a non-invasive protozoan parasite で、小腸上部に感染し、年間2億8千万人が罹患する giardiasis とよばれる急性の水様性下痢の原因となっている。無症候性の感染も多く equally common、最近の研究で他の下痢性疾患に対する抵抗性を付与する protective against other diarrheal diseases ことが示唆されている。症状がある場合でも多くは自然に軽快するが、慢性疾患となることもあり、世界中で治療不成功例が増えつつある。
ジアルジアの感染はまた、治癒後の過敏性腸症候群 irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) や食品アレルギーを引き起こすこともある。
